Whitmuir Farm, Lamancha, EH46 7BB

We are a unique, independent Scottish nursery and gardens growing and selling a wide range of healthy and hardy plants. These include old favourites and many unusual varieties of herbs, herbaceous perennials, grasses, trees, shrubs and plants for shade.

Because we grow at 850 feet above sea level our plants are tough and well acclimatised to Scottish growing conditions. The majority of them are propagated and grown on site, outside for at least a season so are fully hardy and tough enough to cope with our Scottish weather and soil conditions.

We are peat free both in the nursery and selling only peat free compost. We are environmentally friendly, recycling as much as possibly and trying to reduce our impact on the environment

We are wildlife friendly with gardens designed for wild life, over 46 varieties of wildflowers, over 60 species of moths and we are also home to many many frogs, toads, newts, bats, stoats, butterflies, hundreds of types of insects, water creatures, a barn owl and so much more.

We also have created a series of gardens to inspire and show you what can be grown in these sometimes challenging conditions. Gradually a garden of "rooms" and different areas is evolving to make our customers visits an experience rich in colour, scent. sound, seasonal interest, an interesting collection of plants and inspiring ideas.

We are always happy to advise and help you get the very best from your garden.
